EOTrol is a line of dynamic coatings providing unprecedented control over electroosmotic force and flow (EOF) in capillary and microfluidic electrophoretic systems that is nearly pH- and buffer-independent. A small amount of these proprietary coatings added to the electrophoretic buffer can be used to control, suppress, or even reverse EOF, in bare silica capillaries at all buffer pHs between 3 and 11. EOTrol dynamic coatings are stable to chaotropic agents, such as 8M urea, and surfactants, and are user-selectable to optimize EOF for each separation objective.
The UltraTrol reagents’ precise control of EOF is similar to the EOTrol® family of dynamic coatings, however UltraTrol is applied as a dynamic pre-coating that allows CE methods to be directly coupled with other analytical methods (e.g., mass spectrometry) and detection methods (e.g., low UV, electrochemical, refractive index, etc). UltraTrol Dynamic Pre-Coating reagents maintain their performance even after 60 min of separation without replacement over the pH range from 3 to 9.
